DULUTH, MN – We’re just two days away from the 2018 mid-term election.
And along with races for governor, U.S. Senate races (including a special race in Minnesota), and U.S. House races, we’re also following several state races.
Some have been getting a lot more attention on the airwaves in recent days, including Wisconsin’s 25th Senate District currently held by Democratic State Senator Janet Bewley. She’s facing Republican challenger, and Cable-area businessman, James Bolen.
Wisconsin’s 25th Senate District is unique in many ways. It’s a massive distict, for starters, covering much of north-western Wisconsin. In fact, the mostly rural district covers more land and counties than any other district in Wisconsin.
Counties within the district include Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Sawyar, Vilas, and Washburn Counties. It’s also located within Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District represented by Republican Sean Duffy.
In this episode of Beyond the Headlines, Dan Wolfe sits down with both Bewley and Bolen, talking about a wide range of issues.
Those topics include what both candidates would like to see from those in charge of Husky Energy’s Superior oil refinery moving forward in the wake of the explosion and fire in April.
You can catch this, and every episode of Beyond the Headlinesm Sunday mornings on KBJR 6 after “Meet the Press.”
