Man charged after stabbing in Cloquet

CLOQUET, MN– A Sawyer, Minnesota man is behind bars after a stabbing in Cloquet.

According to court documents, the incident happened on August 31 in the Cloquet High School parking lot.

George LaPrairie, 19, is accused of stabbing a man three times with a pocket knife.

The victim says it started after LaPrairie threatened his kids earlier in the day.

Authorities say the unnamed victim was taken to the hospital.

LaPrairie has been charged with first and second degree assault.

He’s being held at the Carlton County Jail and his bail is set at $9,000.
