Duluth woman charged in Superior hit-and-run

SUPERIOR, WI– A Duluth woman has been charged in connection to a hit-and-run in Superior that sent an 11-year-old boy to the hospital.

According to court documents, Mary Catherine Trea, 38, was charged with felony hit and run in Douglas County Court Monday.

She’s accused of traveling through a stop sign and striking one of two boys crossing the street.

Police say it happened Friday afternoon at North 12th Street and Hammond Avenue.

The woman has since been released from jail.

A judge ordered her not to drive without a valid permit or license and not to use or possess alcohol.
