Man arrested in connection to East Hillside shooting

DULUTH, MN–Duluth police say they have arrested a man in connection to a shooting Sunday afternoon in the East Hillside neighborhood.

According to police, they responded to the 600 block of East 4th Street around 1 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man with non life-threatening injuries to his ear and head.

Police said Monday it’s unclear if his injuries were caused by a bullet, and he was not taken to the hospital.

According to police, a 20-year-old man was taken into custody Sunday.

Police say the suspect and victim had been arguing over the accusation of a stolen vehicle.

Hermantown police arrested the suspect. He’s being held at the St. Louis County Jail.
