Community members in Duluth walk for a cause

DULUTH,MN– The rain Saturday morning didn’t stop community members from taking a walk for a good cause.

With umbrellas in hands one hundred and five people from all around the region weren’t stopped by the rain at the seventeenth annual Walk for Thought event.

The fundraiser started at Lief Erickson park and from there, participants walked together about a mile down the Lakewalk to raise awareness and funding to help those who are affected by brain injury.

For those who are affected the work provided through the event is very important.

“We were in a car accident it’s just a near and dear to my heart foundation that I’ve had experience with,”  Angie Olson a participant in the walk said.

The Duluth event today raised nearly $5,000.
