HIBBING, MN — Two years Wednesday, a Hibbing man was found dead and police are still trying to solve his murder.

60-year-old Brian Nelson was found stabbed to death in his Hibbing home July 10th, 2017.

Since then, a $25,000 reward has been offered for anyone with information on the case.

Hibbing police say they’ve followed several leads but all have turned up nothing.

Nelson owned of The Bottle Shop in Hibbing. He was found stabbed to death in his home directly behind the business.

Authorities say the cash deposits were being considered as a motive for the crime as the money has not been recovered.

On Saturday, July 8th, police say Nelson left The Bottle Shop around 10:30 p.m. He was then found dead in his home that Monday.

Authorities say the doors to Nelson’s home were locked and there were no signs of a break-in or a struggle.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
