WRENSHALL, MN — Community members have voted to reject a referendum which would approve millions in renovations and updates to the aging school building.

The referendum failed by a vote of 513-418.

The School Board asked voters to approve $14.4 million in renovations and new construction during a vote Tuesday.

Voters have rejected two referendum requests since April 2017.

On their Facebook page, the Wrenshall School District says, “We are very sorry to report that the referendum has failed… Thank you to the District Facilities Committee, School Board and many of the Wrenshall Community members for your support and hard work.”
