United Way Gives Back

The United Way thanked its community partners during its Live United luncheon Wednesday at the DECC.

The Head of the Lakes United Way offers a number of services ranging from basic needs, education financial stability and health.

Organization leaders volunteers, donors and advocates are the reason they can keep providing those services.

On Wednesday, the organization presented several awards including Volunteer of the Year.

“This is our opportunity to thank the community for all the things they have done for us for the 2018-2019 year. And so this is our chance to give back to the community and say thank you to the united way,” Marketing Director, Elizabeth Mayne says.

The United Way’s next fundraising cycle will start on July 1st.
