Changes coming to John F. Kennedy Memorial Airport

Big changes are coming to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Airport in Ashland.

The airport will be undergoing four-million dollars in renovations to one of its runways.

This includes: resurfacing, installing new L.E.D lights and narrowing the runway by 25 feet.

The project is expected to be completed around 2022.

According to the airport manager, the airport received over $300,000 in snow removal equipment in addition to the renovations.

That’s expected to arrive before next winter.
