UPDATE: Snow delays I-35 lane closures in Duluth

DULUTH, MN– A freeway lighting project that is expected to bring a stretch of Interstate-35 near Duluth down to one lane has been pushed to Tuesday.

According to Minnesota Department of Transportation officials, the project was supposed to begin Monday, but last week’s snow pushed the work until Tuesday.

Daytime lane closures will include the inside lane of northbound and southbound I-35 from 5th Avenue West to 10th Avenue East.

Also, the northbound and southbound Frontage Road between 5th Avenue West and Lake Avenue will also be closed.

Motorists traveling on I-35 can expect lane and ramp closures due to a freeway lighting project beginning Monday in Duluth.

Watch for signage along the freeway for upcoming ramp closures.
