Duluth rec youth basketball programs to team up

DULUTH, MN — Duluth’s recreational youth basketball programs are teaming up.

Starting next season, the Rookie Basketball Association and the Duluth Amateur Youth Basketball Association will be merging into one program for children ages kindergarten through 8th grade.

RBA Director Kris Mallett says the program will be a less competitive option for kids and less expensive option for parents who choose not to be a part of Duluth’s traveling teams.

The program will run through the Salvation Army.
