The DECC to host Pearl Harbor remembrance day ceremony

Friday marks the 77th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, which eventually led the U.S into World War II.

77 year ago, the Japanese Imperial Navy launched a surprise attack on the Pearl Harbor Navy base, killing more than 2,000 American soldiers and destroying scores of U.S aircraft and battleships.

The next day the United States declared war on Japan, thus beginning the U.S involvement in World War II.

In honor and memory of the lives lost on that fateful day, the DECC will be hosting a Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony in the Paulucci Hall Friday.

The event begins at 11:00 am and all are invited to attend.
