DULUTH, MN-- New visitor restrictions will be in place at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center and Essentia Health- Duluth Thursday morning.
The hospital says with the increase in COVID cases they are again altering their visitor restrictions to help keep the case rate at bay.
The newest hospital policy will be, in most cases, two visitors per patient, per day.
Visitation is limited to the same two people in a single day.
Additionally, patients with known or suspected COVID-19 are not allowed visitors unless they are pediatric or OB patients, or patients in an end-of-life situation.
A person who has been determined to be essential to the care and safety of a patient will also be allowed visitation.
Hospital visitation hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Visitors are asked to stay in the room of the person they are seeing and must wear a mask at all times.
