UMD names 2021-22 men’s hockey captains

DULUTH, MN -- The University of Minnesota Duluth men's hockey team has announced their captains for the 2020-21 season.

Noah Cates will wear the "C" for the Bulldogs for the second consecutive season. Cates scored 5 goals and tallied 19 total points in his junior season, and was an overall plus-four on the ice.

Graduate students Kobe Roth and Louie Roehl have both been named assistant captains. They each will be playing their final seasons on an extra year of NCAA eligibility due to COVID-19.

Senior forward Tanner Laderoute has also been named an assistant captain.

UMD opens their season on Friday, October 8 at Bemidji State.
