DULUTH, MN — A new creative recipe series aims to help people-in-need incorporate creativity with donated food.
The new “CHUM Yums” recipe series features recipe cards and videos to help people spice up the items inside the food boxes CHUM hands out.
CHUM Yums was started through an idea that came up during the Leadership Duluth Program.
The idea came after learning about the impact of food insecurity in the Twin Ports and that sometimes people return food they don’t know how to use.
Local chefs volunteered time and recipes to the cause including Tina and Jason Wussow of Wussow’s Concert Cafe, and Kevin Ilenda from Restaurant 301.
They are also featured in accompanying recipe videos.
