House fire

DULUTH, MN-- A house fire in Duluth is being ruled "intentional" after fire crews responded to a single-family home engulfed in flames Thursday.

When the Duluth Fire Department arrived on scene to the 100 block of East 8th Street, the deck and entire back of the home were burned.

The tenants and their dog was seen leaving the home upon officials arrival.

Fire crews attacked the flames on the rear side of the home, while others made search efforts to both floors making sure all occupants were out.

They then fought flames within the interior of the structure.

However, the fire extended to a second-floor bedroom.

Officials have determined the fire to be intentional, with a further investigation being processed by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.

Damages to the home are estimated at $70,000 to the structure and its contents.

No one was injured in the fire.
