SUPERIOR, WI-- A former Superior gymnastics coach charged with sexually assaulting minors is pleading not guilty.

George Deppa, 47, is charged with three felony counts of sexually assaulting a child, plus another felony charge of exposing his genitals to a child.

Deppa appeared virtually in Douglas County court Friday.

Three victims aged 13 and 14-years-old at the time, were his students at Twin Ports Gymnastics in Superior.

This 4th victim says between the ages of 8 and 10, Deppa inappropriately touched her too many times to count during visits to his Duluth residence.

As the girl got older, that touching turned to penetration.

According to court documents, between the ages of 10 and 15, Deppa gave her pills and alcohol and would sexually assault her multiple times from 2003 to 2009.

When she confronted him as to why he did this, Deppa allegedly told her she was not worthy of an answer.
Court documents show St. Louis County issued a warrant for his arrest in May.

Documents don't describe what the relationship was between Deppa and this 4th victim.

There's currently no word on when Deppa may be in a Duluth courtroom to face those charges.

In his Douglas County case, Deppa's jury trial has been set for March of 2022.
