All Duluth teachers honored with ‘Gold Star’ award for pandemic work


DULUTH, MN-- The Duluth School Board honored all public school employees Tuesday night for exceeding expectations during for their work this past year.

Teachers in the district went above and beyond in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Duluth faculty and staff members received the Gold Star Teacher award which normally alternates every year between an elementary or secondary teacher.

The message was expressed as a resolution of gratitude on the Duluth Public Schools' website.

Nominations for the award will resume next year and the award will be presented to both an elementary and secondary teacher.

The Gold Star award was established in 2007 by Manly and Lillian Goldfine to honor an outstanding teacher each year.
