Today: The weather today is very dependent based on where you are in regards to the lake. The closer you are to the lake, you are looking at temperatures in the 50s and 60s. However, as you get away from the lake, you see places climb into the 70s and 80s and even some 90s down in Wisconsin. Winds are a bit gusty out of the northeast between 15-20 MPH.
Today features predominantly cloudy skies with rain showers dotting the radar throughout the day. It will not be raining all the time everywhere; however, everyone will probably see at least some rain. Some places may even see a bit of sunshine throughout the afternoon hours. However, close to the lake, cloudy, foggy, gloomy conditions persist for a good portion of the day.
There is a shot at some severe weather this afternoon and evening, especially through Wisconsin, where temperatures have the opportunities to climb. The main threat with these storms being heavy wind and hail.
Tonight: We begin to clear things out tonight with rain and storms diminishing between 10:00 and 11:00. Skies remain partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures fall back into the upper 50s and 60s. Winds begin to calm down as well out the east between 5-10 MPH.
Saturday: We clear things out nicely for the weekend. Saturday features mostly sunny skies across the Northland as temperatures climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds are out of the west between 5-10 MPH.
