Equipment fire leaves Graymont plant in Superior partially closed

SUPERIOR, WI -- An equipment fire left the Graymont plant in Superior partially shut down.

The Superior Fire department responded to 1 Hill Ave shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

The fire was classified as a combustible liquid fire.

Crews utilized onsite equipment along with the department's industrial firefighting unit to extinguish the fire.

Off-duty fire fighters were called in to watch the rest of the city as crews worked for more than two hours to put out the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cost of damage has yet to be released.
