Man needs rescue after falling from Chester Creek trail

DULUTH, MN -- Fire crews worked to rescue a 21-year-old man Monday evening, after officials say he fell from a trail and down a steep embankment.

It happened around 7 p.m. near the 8th Street bridge in Chester Park.

City officials say the man fell about 35 feet to the ground below, suffering a fractured leg.

No word on any other potential injuries.

Fire officials on scene told us they were working to pull him up and out with use of a special basket.

Duluth Police, Fire and Mayo Ambulance all responded.
