Man arrested on several warrants after large police presence in Superior

SUPERIOR, WI -- A Superior man with several warrants out for his arrest was taken into custody after a large police presence Wednesday night.

According to police, they responded to the home on the 1600 block of Cumming Avenue around 5:06 p.m. on a report of a disturbance inside a home.

When they arrived, police learned a man inside the home had several warrants, including a felony, out for his arrest.

Police called for the suspect to exit the home. He did not, but was eventually found hiding in a crawl space.

He was taken into custody.

No one was hurt.

Police say this is the 11th time they've responded to the home so far in 2021.

SUPERIOR, WI -- There is large police presence outside a home in Superior Wednesday night.

According to our KBJR 6/CBS 3 reporter on scene, the incident is happening near the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Harrison Street.

As of about 7:50 p.m., dozens of squads cars were on scene, including an armored response vehicle.

It's unclear what authorities are responding to.

We reached out to Superior Police, but have not heard back.
