DULUTH, MN -- Mayors on both sides of the Twin Ports are preparing to address the sudden shift in mask guidance.
We're told to expect an update from Duluth Mayor Emily Larson Friday morning on the city's mask mandate.
In Superior, Mayor Jim Paine tells us he will recommend doing away with his mandate and state of emergency at next Tuesday's city council meeting.
This comes after the CDC announced fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks indoors or outdoors, except in some circumstances.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz plans to do away with the state's mask mandate Friday.
