DULUTH, MN -- A local tradition is being revived this week and is raising money for a good cause.

Duluth Pottery is hosting the Empty Bowl Invitational Exhibit and Sale.

They are selling bowls made by local artists.

The majority of sales go to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Duluth.

The hand-crafted bowls are empty but buying one helps people experiencing food insecurity be full.

Owner of Duluth Pottery Karin Kraemer said she hopes people take away more than just a really nice bowl.

"A feeling that they can contribute to what's going on in our community and help feed people in this time of need," Kraemer said.

The sale started Thursday and goes until Saturday.

People can shop online or at the Duluth Pottery Gallery in Lincoln Park.
