DULUTH, Minn. -- For the fourth consecutive season, the UMD men's hockey team has advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four.

The Bulldogs are matched up with UMass, just the second time in program history that they'll meet. The first was the 2019 NCAA National Championship game, when UMD emerged with a 3-0 win for their second straight title.

This year's UMass team is different though, and resembles much of what UMD was in that 2019 game.

"Their team is built a lot like our teams of the past, right. Their strength, goaltending and D, and really balanced forward attack, some dangerous players, but they've got really good depth, and I like how they play," said head coach Scott Sandelin.

Puck drop between the Bulldogs and Minutemen is set for 8:00p.m. in Pittsburgh. The game will be live on ESPN 2.
