DULUTH, MN -- Visit Duluth is optimistic about the summer tourism season right around the corner.
On Wednesday, they announced 75,000 visitor guides had been delivered to their downtown office.
Last year the pandemic forced Visit Duluth to furlough many of its employees so the 2020 guides never made it out.
This year with the end of the pandemic insight, they're excited to start putting the new guides out for the public to see.
"We have expedited the process, we are four months later than normal, but we have it, and we can't wait to get it into people's hands," said Maarja Anderson Hewitt with Visit Duluth.
Visit Duluth is looking forward to what this summer season will bring after the toll the pandemic took on one of the region's biggest industries.
The guide is free.
Hard copies are available for pick up at airports, hotels, and shops across the midwest.
