GRAND RAPIDS, MN -- For the first time since 2014, Grand Rapids boasts the winner of the Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award.
Defenseman Jack Peart was named 2021 after a standout season with the Thunderhawks. The senior captain tallied 11 goals and 24 assists, lifting Grand Rapids to the 7AA championship game. He had 32 goals and 88 total points in 3 seasons with the varsity team.
Peart is the third boys hockey player from Grand Rapids to receive the honor, joining Avery Peterson in 2014, and Aaron Miskovich in 1997.
Peart is a St. Cloud State commit, and is the second straight award winner from northern Minnesota. Hermantown's Blake Biondi won Mr. Hockey in 2020.
