DULUTH, MN-- The Lake Superior Zoo has a furry new resident stealing hearts in the Northland.
Syke, who is an 11-Year-old black bear just came to Duluth's zoo from the Minnesota Zoo.
Lizzy Larson, the facilities Zookeeper, says she is excited to show Syke to people who come to visit because he replicates exactly what we may encounter in our own back yards.
"We love being able to have some native animals here at the zoo so you've seen like our cougars that we have the right next to our great horned owl and then also our black bear and those are all species that you would be able to find in northern Minnesota," said Larson.
While Syke is happy to see new faces, he's still a bit tired from his long winter hibernation, we're told.
