DULUTH, MN. -- UMD women's hockey goaltender Emma Soderberg has been named WCHA goaltender of the year for her stellar work between the pipes for UMD.
Soderberg finished off the WCHA regular season leading the league with both a 1.34 GAA and .951 saves percentage, and tied with the most shutouts with five. Soderberg also had second-most wins in the league with 11, which also ranked her fifth in the country.
Soderberg is also in the running for national goaltender of the year.
