DULUTH, MN-- A local organization celebrated Black History Month by hosting a Black Business Showcase.
The showcase shines a spotlight on Black-owned businesses within the Twin Ports.
The showcase was put on Friday by Neighborhood Youth Services at the Washington Community Recreation Center.
Businesses ranged from local clothing designers to soap makers and, local bag makers.
Pez Davila the Program Director at Neighborhood Youth Services said this was a great way to show the youth there is hope.
“Especially during this time and with Black History Month, it is good for other people that look exactly like them like me to see what's possible for us. Even though history started so bad for us," said Davilla.
About 30 businesses attended the showcase this evening.
