DULUTH, MN -- It won't be long before drivers encounter some major lane closures near Duluth's can of worms.
The Twin Ports interchange project will be in full swing this spring, meaning both directions of I-35 will be down to one lane traffic.
That set-up will last through the fall.
Also, starting this fall, southbound I-35 traffic will be funneled to lower Michigan Street for about a year.
MnDOT expects the entire project, which they hope will make the area safer, to be finished by Summer 2024.
