Several Iron Range fire crews work to extinguish Hibbing industrial fire

Eight Iron Range fire departments have been battling a fire this evening at an industrial type building in Hibbing. The fire was reported around 8:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of 1st Avenue. Arriving crews saw smoke and flames coming from the large structure. Fire departments from: Hibbing, Chisholm, Keewatin, Nashwauk, Silica, Cherry, Virginia, and Fayal Township were dispatched to the blaze. No injuries were reported. HIBBING, MN-- A fire broke out at an industrial-type building in Hibbing Sunday night.

Fire departments from eight Iron Range cities responded to the 1900 block of 1st Avenue at 8:15 P.M.

According to the Friends of the Northland FireWire, crews saw smoke and flames coming from the large structure upon arrival.

The fire is reported to be out three hours later.

No injuries were reported.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Fire departments from Hibbing, Chisholm, Keewatin, Nashwauk, Silica, Cherry, Virginia, and Fayal Township were dispatched to the blaze.
