DULUTH, MN -- Originally it was supposed to be family and friends at AMSOIL arena for the Western Michigan and UMD series this weekend.

On Friday, they opened it up to students.

Limited tickets were made available to students and they didn't last long as they were gone within an hour.

Earlier this week, head coach Scott Sandelin commented on the return of fans.

"They're going to have to be awfully loud I will say that. If there's 150 people in here but hopefully we can hear them. Usually with an empty building you can hear a lot of stuff on the ice. So hopefully we can hear some of the fans that are in the building. But it will be nice to get some people in there," said Sandelin.

Puck drop for game one is set for 6 PM on Saturday.
