DULUTH, MN -- Charter Spectrum internet subscribers across Minnesota and Wisconsin found themselves unable to connect to the web Wednesday.
Downdetector.com reported issues across both states and in Chicago as of Wednesday afternoon.
"We're sorry, an outage is interrupting services in your area. We're doing everything we can to fix the problem, which we expect to resolve by Wed, Jan 6 at 5:00 PM Central Time" a statement from Charter said.
Meanwhile, AT&T and MetroPCS users also reported cell phone service issues Wednesday.
Duluth Mayor Emily Larson took to Twitter to the address the outage and the events at the U.S. Capitol.
In Duluth: internet is down, cell services aren’t working well - this isolation & lack of access to info combined w the invasion of the Capitol in our Capital. It’s confusing, scary and unsettling. Please take a few deep breaths & check on friends and loved ones as best you can.— Emily Larson (@LarsonForDuluth) January 6, 2021
There was no immediate word on the cause of any of the outages.
