Eau Claire North spoils Superior boys hockey opener

SUPERIOR, WI -- For the first time in over two months, high school sports are being played in Superior.

In their season opener, the Spartans' boys hockey team fell 7-1 to Eau Claire North. Ethan Welch gave Superior a 1-0 lead early on, before the Huskies scored seven straight to seal the win.

Up next, Superior will travel to Amery for a matchup with the Warriors on Thursday night at 7:00p.m.
