DULUTH, MN -- The wait will soon be over for college athletes at St. Scholastica, UW-Superior, and Northland College. As on Tuesday, the UMAC conference announced they will pursue spring competition.
Baseball, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's tennis, as well as men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field can begin UMAC competition beginning on January 30th.
Those sports may pursue non-conference play as long as their opponent is following the same NCAA SSI testing.
The conference also announced fall sports such as football, soccer, and volleyball will stick to the plan of playing in the spring.
The president council will once again meet in mid-January to reassess.
