DRUMMOND, WI-- Drummond School District teachers hit the road to deliver holiday cheer.

Faculty hopped on school busses Friday afternoon with goodie bags for their students who have been learning from home since November 23.

"So, we wanted to get something out to all of our kids," said District Administrative Assistant, Penny Pierce. "Let them know we're still thinking of them, the thought was to make a goodie bag for them."

Those goodie bags included hats, mittens, cookies, and more.

Teachers also delivered five days' worth of breakfast and lunch to the 328 students in the district.

"Everybody is on board, we've got so many staff members dressed up," said Pierce

It was the perfect way for teachers to see students face to face during a very distant time.

"They brought us lunches and our goodie bags," said a group of elementary school students.

It was all meant to spread holiday cheer and smiles everywhere.

"Just to put a smile on everybody's faces, you know?" said Pierce. "Have the teachers see the kids and the kids see the busses and the teachers. Just to know that we care."
