Third-period barrage lifts UMD over Nebraska-Omaha in season opener

DULUTH, Minn. -- After 269 days without hockey, the UMD men's hockey team finally got back on the ice with a 5-3 win over Nebraska-Omaha.

The Bulldogs trailed 2-1 heading into the third period, before burying four goals to secure the win. It's UMD's tenth straight win over Nebraska-Omaha.

Third ranked UMD is back in action on Wednesday night against fourth ranked Denver in the NCHC Pod in Omaha. The game will be televised live on the My9 Sports Network, starting at 7:35p.m.
