SUPERIOR, WI -- The City of Superior held their annual Christmas tree lighting this evening.
After being originally canceled, Mayor Jim Paine decided to hold the lighting at the last minute.
The tree sits on the corner of Belknap Ave. and Tower Ave., and serves as a reminder that despite the current pandemic it is still the holiday season.
"It's still the greatest time of the year. It's a chance to look back and reflect on everything that's happened this year.. good and bad.. and a chance to look forward to everything that's great coming up next year," said Paine.
The tree will remain lit through December.
