ST.PAUL, MN-- Saturday marked the start of the latest restrictions in Minnesota.

Restaurants and bars will not be open for in-person dining, youth sports are suspended and places like fitness centers and theaters are closed.

These restrictions will be in place for the next four weeks.

According to WCCO, hundreds of people upset with the order protested outside the Governor's Mansion Saturday.

"I think everybody with any sort of reasonable intellect is going to recognize that something is going on, but this is the first time in the history, really in the history of the modern united states where we've allowed fear of a virus to control us to the point where we're willing to destroy our constitutional liberty and an economy that was raging strong," said Todd Pearson, protester.

The Governor did not immediately respond to the protests, but he did tweet - urging people to "Mask Up Minnesota," saying "Masks work, but not if you only wear them some of the time. Whether you like them or not, they save lives."
