DULUTH, MN -- Duluth's warming shelter CHUM has confirmed its first COVID-19 positive case since the start of the pandemic.
Officials with CHUM say they will follow the guidelines of the Department of Health and St. Louis County to test and isolate anyone who was potentially exposed.
As of today, those at the shelter are being moved to the designated isolation and quarantine hotel until cleared.
Due to those experiencing homelessness they cannot “self-isolate”, so St. Louis County has created the Isolation and Quarantine hotel.
CHUM Shelter will be closed Thursday afternoon for deep cleaning and reopen Monday.
