TWIN CITIES, MN -- The Ice Castles attraction has been a popular winter go-to in Minnesota for six years, but COVID concerns have put the kibosh to this season's plans.
Ice Castles, based in Utah, and usually operated in six locations across North America, will be scaling back this year, hosting only four locations.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported Ice Castles over the years by visiting our Minnesota location," said Ice Castles CEO Kyle Standifird, "Although we have decided not to bring Ice Castles back to the Twin Cities this winter, we look forward to returning to Minnesota in the future."
Ice Castles was founded in 2009 and has built its award-winning winter experience in several cities across the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.
Last winter, Ice Castles' Minnesota location was at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton.
The company has also had locations in Stillwater, Excelsior, Eden Prairie, and at Mall of America in the past.
Ice Castles hopes to return to Minnesota again in January 2022, if the situation permits.
