DULUTH, Minn. -- The Cloquet-Carlton girls soccer team has officially repeated as champions of section 7A.

The top seed Lumberjacks held off Duluth Marshall 1-0 in the section finals, behind Katie Turner's lone goal in the tenth minute.

"Super proud of all of them. I mean the efforts that they all put forward, every day in practice, just kind of showing up, like hey, another weirdo thing is happening, they just started calling it weirdo season, it was kind of our hashtag this year. A little bittersweet not having the state tournament to play in, but, I mean they played like there was one," said head coach Bobbie Turner.

In boys soccer, Duluth Denfeld brought home the 7A title witha 2-1 win at Princeton. Keegan Chastey and Skyler Fossum scored for the Hunters.

The section championship is Duluth Denfeld's third title in the past five years.
