DULUTH, MN -- The Duluth Fire Department answered a very special call Monday.

Roman, a first-grader at Bayview Elementary, was recently diagnosed with Leukemia.

Duluth Fire Captain Pete Johnson's wife is Roman's teacher.

On Monday, they drove a fire truck to his house, lights and all to deliver Roman a very special dinner, and have him aboard the rig.

The family says every little bit helps.

"It's amazing what a simple meal, the stress that takes off, you don't have to cook for the evening. So, we just want to say thank you to everyone that's helped us," said Steven & Elizabeth Laaksl, Roman's parents.

The family set up a Go Fund Me to help with medical expenses and a meal delivery option.

The Go Fund Me can be found here.
