ELY, MN-- A 16-year-old is in custody after being linked to a stabbing incident that happened Thursday afternoon.
Ely police were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to where a hiker had found a person who seemed to have fallen down a ravine near Miners Lake.
Police said the victim was a 13-year-old male who was conscious but confused.
Responders found what appeared to be stab wounds along with a leg injury.
The victim told officials he was assaulted.
Police were able to locate a 16-year-old suspect and took them into custody.
The victim was flown to Essentia in Duluth where his condition is unknown at the time.
The suspect was booked at Arrowhead Juvenile Center in Duluth.
