GRAND RAPIDS, MN-- The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has added Grand Rapids High School to the list of schools with five or more coronavirus cases.
The high school is officially reporting seven confirmed cases of COVID-19.
District leaders say that includes six students and one staff member.
All the cases are being blamed on community transmission.
Through immediate contact tracing, the school now has 81 students and staff members in quarantine for 14 days.
District leaders say they're keeping the current hybrid learning model, but will move to distance learning if cases increase.
MDH says schools can only be removed from this statewide list if they don't report any new cases for 28 days.
Hinckley Elementary and Brainerd High School are also among the eleven schools listed.
