Missing 15-year-old found safe

UPDATE 10/03/2020 9:09 P.M.-- Nia Goutermont has been loacted.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, a citizen tip lead to find Nia in the Hibbing area.

Police say that she is safe, unharmed and being retuned to her parents.


DULUTH, MN-- The St. Louis County Sheriff is asking for the public's help finding a missing 15-year-old girl from just north of Duluth.

Nia Goutermont was reported to have run away from her home on September 25th.

Since then, the last known contact with Nia was on September 27th by a friend in the Hibbing area, according to police.

No one has been able to get in contact or locate Nia since then.

She has now been entered as a missing person.

Authorities say they are following leads in the Twin Ports, Iron Range and Twin Cities areas.

Anyone who has information on Nia's whereabouts is asked to contact the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office at 218-625-3581.
