TWO HARBORS, MN -- In a normal year, the Lake County Chamber of Commerce will use events like galas and raffles to raise money. But in 2020, they've had to get creative thanks to the pandemic.
The Chamber has started a "Bald for Business" fundraiser to make up for the funds lost due to COVID-19.
There are 14 Lake County business owners who have volunteered their locks.
In order for them to go shave their heads, they each need to raise $1,000 in donations, so the goal is a total of $14,000.
Chamber president Janelle Jones said it has brought a lot of laughs during a difficult time.
"We were just throwing out ideas, and this one got thrown out, and we said let's try it.
It's something different, and it's something fun. It's important to have fun right now," said Jones.
