MAPLE, Wis. -- Despite some strong perseverance in their first two sets, the Northwestern volleyball team came up just short in their second home match of the season.
The Tigers took the opening set of their match against Cumberland, and overcame a late six point deficit to tie the second set at 22. The Beavers quickly responded though, evening the match with a 25-23 win.
Cumberland put away the next two sets (25-21, 25-22) to seal the match. Northwestern drops to 0-4 on the season. Senior captain lead the way for Northwestern with 14 kills and 11 digs.
