DULUTH, MN -- The race for Minnesota's 8th District Congressional seat is taking to the airwaves across northeastern Minnesota.
In a new ad airing on tv stations in Duluth, democratic candidate Quinn Nystrom shares her story about fighting for affordable healthcare after being diagnosed with diabetes as a teenage.
The ad also attacks republican opponent Pete Stauber on his voting record when it comes to prescription drugs.
According to the latest campaign spending information from July, Stauber had $1,040,903 in cash on hand. Nystrom had $242,221.
Nystrom's campaign says it spent $88,000 on the ad buy in the Duluth market.
